How you started working with Labelle?
My roommate and I followed The Labelle Foundation on Instagram back in 2018 and saw them ask for help foster a mom and babies litter. We jumped on the opportunity to be able to raise these dogs in our home. Since then I have been fostering and working with the lovely Labelle team and I can’t imagine doing anything else!

Favorite part or memory working with Labelle?
My favorite part about working with Labelle is that it has become a family for me. Laura and Sabrina are such amazing leaders and people and I am so proud to be apart of the Labelle Family!

About
I graduated from LMU in Los Angeles, with a BA in Psychology. I always loved service and animals and have been volunteering with The Labelle Foundation for the past 3 years. In the last year I took on a leadership role with foster and adoption coordination and overseeing our admin teams. My educational background is in organization psychology so I love to watch The Labelle Foundation grow and thrive! I aspire to continue to expand The Labelle Foundation all over California and other states. I currently work remote from San Francisco and find passion and purpose in my position at Labelle!

Favorite thing to do in LA
My favorite thing to do in LA is EAT!! If I handle your adoption or foster make sure to ask for my LA food recs!

How you started working with Labelle?
My brother, Brandon, had been fostering with Labelle for a few years and I loved the mission of the rescue and always was helping him with the foster pups. When I adopted my dog from Labelle, the current team was a group of 3 women, it was the beginning of the COVID-19 quarantine and they were getting hit with a huge influx of applications. I volunteered right after getting Kora (my Labelle pup!) and jumped on board to help them with anything they needed. From that moment, the group of 3 grew and it’s been amazing to see the changes these girls have had on dogs’ lives. We now have 9 team members and are saving more dogs than ever before!

Favorite part or memory of working with Labelle?
This team of incredible women is my favorite part of working with Labelle. Each woman is so motivated and we all work around the clock to help make a difference to these pups. The Labelle girls do everything in their power to save all dogs that are in need and it’s incredible to watch the effect they have on these dogs’ lives. My first transport was one of my favorite memories, helping pups who were just rescued off the street and getting them cleaned up, the medicine they need and into a loving foster to help them grow strong and recover.

About
I graduated from USC in 2015 with a degree in public relations and am currently an MBA student at UCLA Anderson. In addition to volunteering with Labelle, I work in film marketing software. I have always loved dogs and I am happy to bring my background in publicity and marketing to work on communication strategy, website development and partnership management for Labelle!

Favorite Thing to do in LA
I love being outside whether it’s biking by the beach or hiking in Malibu!

Started working with Labelle
I started fostering for Labelle back in March. My boyfriend and I fostered a little yorkie, Roxy, who was surrendered by her owner. Roxy was older and came to Labelle with a cough and decaying teeth. She saw the vet and was put on a variety of meds as we waited to get her to a cardiologist. We stayed up with her night after night as her cough kept her up. As her cough worsened we rushed her to the vet and ultimately the hospital. She was put on oxygen and didn’t make it through the night. This was heartbreaking for my boyfriend and I and it was eyeopening that this was just one of the many challenges Labelle faces on a daily basis. After this event, I wanted to help and reached out to Laura to discuss ways I could support her and her team.

Favorite part
Team and team connections, transports

How you started working with Labelle?
I was introduced to The Labelle Foundation in May 2020 when I adopted one of my fur babies from the foundation. I knew I wanted to work for Labelle after looking into what sets this rescue apart from others. I started by volunteering any extra time I had. The ladies of Labelle eventually asked me to join the team and I was so excited to start my journey!

Favorite part or memory working with Labelle?
My favorite part about working for Labelle would have to be the "Furever Home" photos/moments. It is amazing to see these pups come from horrible situations into a happy, healthy home - makes my heart so full! In addition to all things happy - I love working with this killer team. The Labelle ladies are some of the hardest working women there are.

About
I received my B.A. in Public Relations, with a minor in Sociology from California State University Fullerton. After graduating, I knew I wanted to work for an organization that has the same values as me. I started as a Social Media Specialist for the largest mental health clinic in Orange County where I was able to work toward reducing the stigma around mental health. Investing into things I am passionate about led me to The Labelle Foundation - where I became a Social Media Coordinator.

As a Social Media Coordinator, I take pride in being the foundation's voice and advocacy in our community. I specialize in writing, developing, strategizing, and approving all social media content. Day-to-day, you can find me doing all things social and maintaining strong relationships with our supporters.

Favorite thing to do in LA
My favorite thing to do in LA is thrifting (I am a sucker for good finds) and taking my fur babies to the beach!

How you started working with Labelle?
I started working for the Labelle Foundation after fostering with the organization for 5 months, and falling in love with what they do.

Favorite part or memory working with Labelle?
My favorite part about working with the Labelle Foundation is being part of the process of finding pups furever homes. It is so amazing to see the amount of joy that the foundation is able to bring people, and pups, by finding them a perfect furever home. Another amazing part of the Labelle Foundation is the team – this is the most amazing and inspiring group, working tirelessly day and night to save lives.

About:
I am Canadian, and just recently moved to Los Angeles in 2019 from Calgary, Alberta. I’ve become a bottle baby foster, helping tiny puppies grow big and strong to thrive in their furever homes. When I am not volunteering or serial fostering (I’m on #7!), I have a full-time job as an investment banker.

Favorite thing to do in LA:
As a newbie to LA, my favorite thing to do here is explore all the restaurants, bars and beaches that LA has to offer!

I reached out to the Labelle Foundation after fostering two adorable pit pups to investigate further how I could help! I’ve always admired the amazing work the Labelle Foundation has done and thought it would be an awesome experience to become more involved in the process of finding forever homes for all dogs in need!

Favorite part or memory working with Labelle?
Although I’ve only been working with Labelle for a short while, my favorite part about it thus far has been the incredible team of women who have welcomed me with open arms and showed me the ropes! It’s an amazing feeling to be connected with other people who are just as passionate about helping rescue dogs and I am so excited for what’s to come!

About
In addition to working with Labelle, I also work for a social media and influencer marketing agency, where I assist in helping enterprise brands scale their programs. How you started working with Labelle?
I started fostering for Labelle at the beginning of quarantine in March and one day I asked what I could do to help and it was the best decision ever!

Favorite part or memory working with Labelle?
My favorite memory was an adoption when the dad had me on the phone when he told his family that their application was approved for a dog and I felt so blessed to be part of that moment

About
I am currently a full time student at USC and am studying to become a veterinarian! I actually realized this through working for Labelle.

Favorite thing to do in LA
I’ve lived in LA my whole life but just figured out how many good places there are to eat here so definitely the food and I love how close we are to the beach. And of course fostering puppies :)

Lastly, we want to shout out all our amazing fosters! We are a foster-based rescue and could not save dogs’ lives without you. Our fosters help in the process of rehabilitating all our dogs. These dogs are coming from all different backgrounds and circumstances, being with our fosters helps them grow healthy and strong plus they learn what it’s like to experience love.
